AGABY

Arbeitsgemeinschaft der Ausländer-, Migranten- und Integrationsbeiräte Bayerns

Who we are

AGABY stands for “Arbeitsgemeinschaft der Ausländer-, Migranten- und Integrationsbeiräte Bayerns”. We are the umbrella organisation of integration councils in Bavaria. We network and support the local councils in their task of representing the interests of migrants in local politics. Foreigners’, migrants’ and integration councils are voluntary bodies democratically elected by the migrant population in the towns and districts. We advise local authorities and state politicians on participatory integration policy processes to achieve equal and non-discriminatory coexistence.

What we offer

In Bavaria there will be a new community-based counselling service for people affected by racism and discrimination from 1 November 2023. AGABY e.V. and ZAM e.V. are opening counselling centres in Nuremberg and Augsburg as part of the “weact: Countering Racism and Shaping a Society Free of Discrimination, a project of the Federal Association of Networks of Migrant*innen Organisations.
