Who we are

Since its foundation, Prisma Queer Migrants e.V. from Hanover has been a low-threshold contact point especially for queer refugees and those affected by racism from migrant and post-migrant communities. People who have been affected by queer hostility, racism and other forms of discrimination can exchange ideas with each other and work together to make an impact. The counsellors are particularly approachable for queer people affected by racism and are trained and networked for their needs. Prisma Queer Migrants e.V. also offers counselling to victims of racism who do not belong to the queer community.

What we offer

Our WeAct Team of Counsellors and our community will support you if you experience racism as a queer person. We will work with you to develop strategies to deal with your experiences of racism. If you wish, we can network you with other people who experience racism and/or are queer. We work together to develop cultural and artistic programmes in and around Hannover. Queers of colour are welcome to get involved with Prisma Queer Migrants e.V.

The Postmig Writers Collective sponsored by Prisma is made up of people of colour, people with a migration heritage, Muslims, Jews and, in particular, people who have experienced multiple discrimination. We met in the summer of 2021 as a collective of writers, theatre makers, graphic novelists and poetry slammers.
