Information about the event

End date: 27. June 2024 - 16:00

In cooperation with the Goethe-Institut Mannheim, the weak counseling center at the Hildegard Lagrenne Foundation in Mannheim offers an online counseling session for people who have experienced racism every last Thursday of the month from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm

The weak contact and advice center is aimed at people who have experienced racism and discrimination. We want to support them by providing low-threshold counseling services to help them deal with their experiences of racism and to strengthen their capacity to act through systemic support.
Counseling sessions last between 45 and 60 minutes, depending on the number of participants. Counseling sessions are available in English, French, German, Spanish and Portuguese. Our counseling is power-critical, intersectional, supportive and trusting. Participation is free of charge.

Counseling concerns
– Racism in everyday life, eg in leisure, sports, shops, …
– Institutional and structural racism, eg in education, health care, work, housing, immigration, police, …

Our weak counseling center in Mannheim is also open to all people who have experienced racism. We can be contacted by email at beratung-weact@hildegard-lagrenne-stiftung.de or by phone on +49 157 547 476 -36 or +49 157 547 476 -37. Our counseling is free of charge.
