You are not alone!
All human beings are different – and yet “born free and equal in dignity and rights”, as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights puts it. This principle should be the most normal thing in the world. But for many people in Germany, the reality is different. They are racially discriminated against, insulted and marginalised – at work, at the immigration office, at the citizens’ registration office, at school or when looking for a place to live. Structural racism is deeply rooted in our society and manifests itself in many ways. These are not isolated cases. This is shown not only by numerous scientific studies, but above all by the increasing number of testimonies from people who have experienced it, which make the extent of racism in this country visible.
